Whether you live in London or are just visiting, there's no doubt that the city has some incredibly talented nail artists working across different nail bars and salons. If you're after a quick file-and-polish, a long-lasting gel mani or something altogether more fabulous like some nail art, we know the best nail bars in London, and we're more than happy to share our recommendations. Keep scrolling for an expert breakdown of the best nails bars in London.

DryBy London

DryBy is to nails what La Mer is to skincare. It's seriously luxe and not cheap (but so worth it). The salon is beautiful beyond belief, decked out in muted pinks and putty hues. Upstairs, you can book in for a blow-dry, whilst downstairs is where the manis and pedis happen. You choose your colors or nail art (it's seriously chic and understated here), and then you can relax with a glass of bubbly while the manicurist gets to work.

Townhouse

Townhouse is the latest nail bar on the block, and it has a distinct NYC vibe to it. Pedicures happen at the back on a bank of chairs that are specially built for pedis. At the front, a long, narrow table is where the manicures happen. There is a menu book from which you can choose your polish colors (gel or paint), and then you choose a design and colorway. There are so many potential combinations, but the manicurists are always happy to help.

If a salon uses Shellac or gel, it is worth asking the manicurist which shade is which when choosing. Shellac tends to last longer than gel.

Nail Club

Nail Club is like the fun, younger sister of the nail-bar world. It's in the basement of the Skinny Dip store and has all-pink everything. It's also not very big, so peak times get booked out fast. Definitely book ahead online. You can get nail art done here, but I would say it's a great place to go for a straight-up manicure. Mine was perfect and lasted almost three weeks. Sign up to become a member and you'll get money off every time you go.

House of Lady Muck is another East London nail bar, but it's just opened a concession in Topshop at Oxford Circus. The designs are seriously Instagrammable.

Imarni Nails

Imarni Nails is based in the Curtain Hotel in Shoreditch, and it's probably one of the coolest hotel nail bars in the world. The nail art designs are seriously covetable. The team also did the nails for Alexa Chung's debut LFW show, so if that's not cool, we don't know what is.
